I want to thank the voters of the 17th Congressional District for their support on Primary Election Day. I am humbled to be the nominee of the Republican Party and promise to work tirelessly to unseat incumbent Tim Holden in November. I salute my fellow GOP candidates--Frank Ryan, Josh First and Allen Griffith-- for running a clean race and introducing fresh ideas and energy into the political process. In order to do that we need to change our congressman. With your help we can be successful in doing just that this November.

As a public servant, I have always believed in the importance of staying connected and being accessible to the communities I represent. This website is just one of the ways I plan to communicate my vision for a better America to the citizens of the 17th Congressional District.

After hearing from friends, neighbors and concerned citizens throughout the district, it became clear that voters are desperate for a leadership change in Washington. The people of this district have grown tired of the Democrat policies that have led to higher taxes, runaway spending, record debt and government takeovers.

More than 6 million jobs have been lost since Congressman Tim Holden and the Democrats took over control of Congress just three short years ago and 2.7 million jobs have vanished since Holden, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Obama enacted their ill-fated, ineffective "Stimulus" plan.

This country is in real distress and it has been made clear to me by hundreds of people across the 17th District that they want change and they want it now. When Troy Sanders, a Pottsville truck driver, asked me to join this race his message was simple. Troy said, "This area, this nation, is on the wrong track. Dave, we need to change Congress, but we can't change Congress if we don't change our Congressman."

As you know, change does not come easy and money and resources from inside the Washington Beltway and liberal special interests will pour into central and eastern Pennsylvania to keep this seat in Democrat control. We cannot simply sit back and 'hope' for change. We need to MAKE change happen and I cannot do it alone.

I ask that you to do whatever you can to help my campaign defeat government controlled health care, corporate bailouts and runaway spending.

Together we can make this change happen!

Sincerely,
Dave Argall

Holden's Campaign Coffers Still Dirty With Embattled Rangel's Campaign Cash

Pennsylvania Dem Clings to $19,000 From the Notoriously Corrupt and Recently Charged Charlie Rangel

Washington- With the recent news that notoriously corrupt Charlie Rangel has been charged with violations by a House ethics panel, Democrats are bracing for big losses in November as their mounting corruption problem threatens their current majority. While some Democrats have fled from the embattled former Ways and Means Chairman and rid themselves of his tainted campaign cash, Tim Holden is still tightly clinging to $19,000 for his uphill re-election battle. And as Rangel's ethical lapses threaten to bring down the out-of-touch Democrat majority, it appears Holden will voluntarily be one of November's many casualties.
