About Dave Argall

Senator David Argall currently represents the 29th District (including all of Schuylkill County and parts of Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe and Northampton Counties) in the Pennsylvania State Senate and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. His major emphasis in the General Assembly has been rewriting laws to revitalize many of the state's small towns and cities, as well as an ongoing effort to eliminate the state's archaic school district property tax.

While serving in the House, Argall was a lead architect in the establishment of both the Main Street downtown revitalization program and the Elm Street neighborhood investment program. In addition, Argall was integrally involved in the implementation of conservation and environmental protection initiatives across the state. He was an outspoken proponent of the successful Growing Greener program and he was prime sponsor of the Waste Tire Recycling Act which has helped to clean up more than 28 million tires from waste piles across the state.

Senator Argall earned a Ph.D. degree in public administration from Penn State and teaches an evening course at Penn State-Harrisburg in state government and leadership studies. A former northern Dauphin County resident, Argall is a graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and currently resides in Rush Township, Schuylkill County. Argall and his wife Beth have two children, AJ and Elise, who are currently students at the University of Pennsylvania.
